Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell is scheduled to hit the market this offseason, so you know teams will court the do-it-all running back. But if the New York Jets brass is reading this post, they shouldn’t even bother talking to Bell.
Le’Veon Bell roasted the Jets by saying $60 million wasn’t enough to play for them
Bell, who is scheduled to become a free agent this offseason, isn’t interested in joining the Jets for $60 million.

On Twitter, a Jets fan who described himself as “Proclaimed Jets Spokesperson,” jokingly told Bell that New York would pony up $60 million in cash for Bell’s services.
However, it would take more than $60 million for Bell to take his talents to New York.
This is bad news for Jets fans, especially since New York will have a little more than $79 million in cap space to play with over the offseason.
Why is this important? Bell will be one of the most coveted players during free agency. He signed a franchise tag last year with the Steelers, but he doesn’t want to play under another tender. He wants a lucrative contract, something the Steelers can’t offer him at the moment. In fact, he threatened to retire if Pittsburgh offers him a second franchise tag.
Pittsburgh has a little more than $4 million in cap space, so it’s only fair to assume that Bell may suit up in a different uniform in 2018. Jets fans, dream on.
