Team USA will open its quest to win women’s hockey Olympic gold for the first time since 1998 against Finland on Sunday morning. The tournament will likely come down to how the Americans fare in their rivalry against Canada, but we can point back to 2006 to note that the team can’t look past any of its opponents.

Hilary Knight and the Americans begin their stay in Pyeongchang against Finland.

The game between the U.S. and Finland begins at 2:40 a.m. ET. If you happen to be up in the middle of the night and hankering for some hockey, it will be streamed live by NBC Olympics and broadcast live by NBCSN.
The Americans will be led yet again by star players such as Hilary Knight, Meghan Duggan, Brianna Decker, and Kendall Coyne. They’re heavily favored to at least reach the gold medal game, having won three straight World Championships since falling short in Sochi four years ago.
