The American snowboard delegation at the 2018 Winter Olympics has come out swinging, winning gold in their first four events, with the men’s and women’s slopestyle and halfpipe boarders completing the sweep. With a handful of snowboard events left in Pyeongchang, Team USA is hoping to add a bit more hardware to their medal list.

Next up: the men’s snowboard cross on Wednesday at 11 p.m. ET on NBC (live stream).

Only one of the four American men competing in the snowboard cross race actually qualified by objective measures: Jonathan Cheever. The boarder — who works as a plumber when he’s not on the slopes — will be competing in his first ever Olympic Games during Wednesday’s snowboard cross event.

Cheever isn’t the only first-time Olympian competing for the United States, Mick Dierdorff and Hagen Kearney will also suit up for their Olympic debuts. Team USA includes only one rider with Olympic experience, two-time competitor (2010 and 2014), Nick Baumgartner. Despite his previous two tries to medal at the Winter Games, Baumgartner’s top finish was at No. 20 — a spot he’s seriously hoping to best during his time in Pyeongchang.

The United States has medaled in snowboard cross in every Olympics since the sport’s debut in 2006. American boarder Seth Wescott claimed the top podium spot in both 2006 and 2010, and Alex Diebold held on at the Sochi Games in 2014 to claim bronze. This year’s U.S. contingent will have their work cut out for them if they hope to live up to the crazy standard of excellence of both American snowboard cross and overall snowboarding in the Olympics.
