NBA All-Star Saturday night is underway, and the Skills Challenge is the first event on the schedule. The first highlight isn’t some fantastic finish or anything — but rather Joel Embiid’s shorts.

Embiid earned his first All-Star nod this season after averaging 23.7 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 3.1 assists for the Sixers in the first half of the season. None of this is unexpected, but it’s great to finally see one of the most fun players in the NBA on this particular weekend.
While he’s got the basketball thing down, he’s gotta get the tag off those shorts. It’s not like it’s a fitted baseball cap or something.
We love #TagEmbiid, though. If he’s trying to get this started as a new trend, I’m on board.
