Paul George was bad in the 3-point contest, but Michael Jordan was worse

Russell Westbrook’s reaction was great, too.

Everybody is excited that Paul George is in Los Angeles for the All-Star festivities, especially in anticipation (more so hope) that he joins the Lakers this upcoming offseason in free agency.

But he had a terrible three-point contest showing, with just nine points. Even Russell Westbrook’s reaction was great:

George had just FOUR points with nine seconds to go on his last rack, but was able to get a late push so that it wasn’t entirely embarrassing.

As bad as George was, he wasn’t worse than Michael Jordan.

In the 1990 three-point shootout, Jordan put up just five points:

So if you’re George, perhaps you shouldn’t feel so bad. The best player of all-time (or LeBron, whatever, chill) had a round that was worse than yours.

Hopefully this doesn’t deter Lakers fans from wanting George to join their team this offseason, though Russell Westbrook said earlier in the day that’s not something to worry about.
