Squirrel narrowly avoids an early demise during snowboard giant slalom

We have been thoroughly entertained by the 2018 Winter Olympics, with the likes of Chloe Kim, Russian women’s figure skaters and the U.S. women’s hockey team providing memorable moments over the last two weeks. On Saturday in Pyeongchang, South Korea we got yet another “Wow” highlight.

Thanks to a squirrel.

During the parallel giant slalom a squirrel somehow found its way onto the course and darted to within an inch of its life, narrowly avoiding a quick demise thanks to the deft maneuvering and reflexes of this snowboarder.

We watch the Olympics for the great performances but also to see things we have never seen before. Think you have seen it all at these Winter Olympics?

That’s just nuts.
