Germany and Olympic Athletes from Russia will face off in the men’s hockey gold medal game at the 2018 Winter Olympics at 11:10 p.m. ET Saturday night. The matchup will be broadcast live on NBCSN in addition to live streaming coverage.

This is a chance for the Germans to finish off one of the most incredible performances in the history of Olympic hockey. A tournament without NHL players opened the door for anyone to make a run, and the Germans have taken advantage even after losing twice in the group stage.

Victories over Switzerland, Sweden, and Canada in elimination playoff games paved the way for what’s already the best showing by Germany ever. Even if the team loses Saturday, it will still leave Pyeongchang with its first silver medal in hockey.

With lopsided wins over Czech Republic and Norway by a combined 9-1 scoring margin in their last two games, the Olympic Athletes from Russia have been firing on all cylinders recently. It is truly a David vs. Goliath matchup on the biggest of international stages.

A victory by Germany would surely go down in hockey history as one of the greatest upsets ever alongside the Americans’ “Miracle on Ice” in 1980. Even without a North American team in the game, it’ll be worth tuning in to see if the underdog Germans can pull off one last thrilling upset.
