The Rockets are still the best team in the NBA and they don’t look like they’re slowing down anytime soon. The Jazz gave them a solid fight on Monday night and even took a four point lead into halftime. But eventually, like they always do, the Rockets pulled away with a 31 point third quarter and just outpaced the Jazz. Utah’s offense couldn’t keep up.
NBA Scores 2018: The Rockets are still the best team in the NBA and 7 things from Monday
The Rockets have a legitimate shot at a championship and Anthony Davis might be the best.

They might not have as much talent as the Warriors do, but the Rockets are certainly playing to their level right now. They move to 31-1 with James Harden, Chris Paul and Clint Capela all in the starting lineup and they’ve got a winning record against the Warriors so far this year. They just a machine with no power switch — no one has quite figured them out yet.
Say what you want about Harden and Paul — they’ve both had struggles in the playoffs and both are lacking the accolades they should probably have to this point. But this is their opportunity to take them. And, at least for now, it looks like they have a legitimate shot.

James Harden and Joe Ingles had beef
This was a really, really odd moment from the Rockets game. Harden got beard to nose with Ingles while trying to defend him and Ingles, well, didn’t pay it much attention at all.
And then, apparently, when Ingles walked by Harden he got his attention enough to get him to turn around with whatever he said.
Harden is normally cool about things like this, so whatever Ingles did to get under his skin it worked. It wasn’t good enough, though.
Chris Paul was ruled out of bounds for high-fiving Harden’s mom
MY CHEST.
Harden went on IG and laughed about it, too.
This team is fun.
Anthony Davis might be the best player in the NBA
I know Cavaliers and Warriors fans don’t want to hear this, but Davis is playing on another level right now. He dropped 53 points, 17 rebounds and five blocks against the Suns on Monday. He brought the Pelicans back from down 17 points in the first half with his historic effort.
For the second time this season, he’s put up a stat line no one else in league history has ever recorded before. And he’s doing it without another legitimate star on the Pelicans with Cousins injured. This is his fifth game of at least 40 points in the month of February and his most dominant performance since Cousins went down.
LeBron James will always be LeBron James. Same goes for Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. Those three are great players and Hall of Famers. But right now it just looks like it’s Anthony Davis’ time.
This kid fainted after Stephen Curry gave him a high-five
This is so adorable.
I can’t really blame him, either.
