Pink dropped a lozenge on the Super Bowl field during the anthem, and EVERYONE NOTICED

That’s just normal Super Bowl stuff!

UPDATE: IT WAS A THROAT LOZENGE.

Pink performed a wonderful national anthem despite dealing with flu-like symptoms, but the most memorable thing from her performance was her dumping something — gum? a throat lozenge? — from her mouth onto the ground. It was like, “OK, I gotta get rid of this now. The ground’s right there. That’s the jig.”

If you’ve never sung a NATIONAL ANTHEM BEFORE THE SUPER BOWL, you just wouldn’t understand.

Everyone noticed, and everyone loved it.

And there was one joke that just made too much sense.

Yes, it was probably not gum.

Shoutout to Pink, and honestly, yeah. Let’s make it the MVP. Why the hell not.
