NBA scores 2018: Blake Griffin’s Pistons have won 4 straight, and a few other things from Tuesday

Detroit’s victory over Portland highlighted a chill Tuesday night.

There weren’t any marquee matchups in the NBA on Tuesday night, but the new-look Detroit Pistons — the remix, now featuring Blake Griffin — handed Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum, and the Portland Trail Blazers a 20-point loss. That’s a convincing victory over a team in the middle of the playoff hunt out West.

Griffin flirted with a triple-double with 21 points, nine rebounds, and six assists, and Andre Drummond had a 17-point, 17-rebound night of his own. Detroit is still undefeated since trading for Griffin, now 4-0 with wins over Portland, Miami, Memphis, and a Cleveland team he didn’t play against. More importantly, it looks like the Pistons are having fun again:

We don’t know if the Pistons will keep this up. Three games is way too small of a sample size to make a bold prediction on how the rest of Detroit’s season will go. And after the hot start and subsequently fast collapse the Pistons endured earlier this season, we know to expect the unexpected at all times.

But what we also know is this: The Pistons are now back to .500, and Reggie Jackson is expected to return from a severe sprained ankle in March. Whether that’s a good thing or not remains to be seen. But hey, it’s something to look forward to.

Things that happened on Tuesday

Dirk Nowitzki is still checking things off the bucket list:

But look at the back of his jersey:

Zach LaVine destroyed Jakarr Sampson, proving his ACL is just fine:

And Bogdan Bogdanovic hit a huge shot:

Other things that happened

And the Wizards haven’t lost since John Wall’s knee surgery. They’re 4-0!

Happy Tuesday!
