Indianapolis Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson was killed Sunday morning after a drunk driver hit the Uber he was traveling in. He was just 26 years old.
Colts owner Jim Irsay pays funeral expenses for Edwin Jackson and Uber driver after fatal crash
This is a nice gesture.

On Tuesday, it was reported the funeral expenses for both Jackson and Jeffrey Monroe, the Uber driver, will be paid for by Colts owner Jim Irsay:
“He was such a good kid,” Butch Williams, Jackson’s agent and a longtime family friend told the Indianapolis Star. “I mean, a great kid. I think of him dealing with those kids away from football. That’s what I remember when I think about him. He loved to do that.”
“We were heartbroken to hear the news of Edwin Jackson’s passing. Edwin was loved by all in the Colts organization. We admired his outgoing personality, competitive spirit and hard-working mentality. He was well-respected among all with whom he crossed paths, and he will be greatly missed in our locker room and throughout our entire organization. We also understand that another person lost his life in the accident, only adding to our sorrow on this day. We are shocked and saddened by this tragedy, and our thoughts and prayers are with the families of both men during this difficult time.”
The Colts picked up Jackson after he went undrafted in 2015. The 2016 season was his only in the NFL, after he was on the IR for all of the 2017 season with an undisclosed injury.
