Polo Ralph Lauren’s opening ceremony parka is available through limited edition, so those jackets will be expensive.

Team USA is ready to represent the United States in the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic Winter Games. But before the games begin, they’ll arrive to the opening ceremony on Friday in style. Team USA’s athletes will sport some highly coveted jackets designed by Ralph Lauren Corporation, which has created Team USA outfits since 2008.

As you know, any clothing from Ralph Lauren will cost a pretty penny. And the Team USA jackets for the Pyeongchang Olympic Winter Games are available in limited edition. No one has said how much this innovate jacket will cost (though we know the sweater is $595, so expect to pay a lot), but you can always go to Ralph Lauren’s official website for details. The design of the jacket will leave you in awe.

Of course, the jacket’s design is the American flag. It’s also water repellent and has three heat settings. When fully charged, those heat settings lasts up to 11 hours — so athletes won’t have to worry about getting cold in Pyeongchang. The interior of the jacket has an American flag — which was created with conductive carbon and silver ink.

”This time, the team took it to a new level, using flexible fabrics to heat a jacket in a way that we had never seen before,” said David Lauren — Ralph Lauren’s Chief Innovation Officer, in marketing. “Beyond adding extra warmth, the technology added a modernity to the iconic style of the Olympic and Paralympic outfits. And the American flag pattern was a clever touch.”

But Ralph Lauren Corporation couldn’t create this jacket by itself. It reached out to a small design company in New York City as well as DuPont — a technology conglomerate in Delaware — for help.

DuPont, which was founded in 1802, has a huge track record of innovation experience. This is the same conglomerate that invented neoprene, Teflon, nylon, and the conductive ink that Ralph Lauren used for the jacket. This is truly a great blend of American manufacturing.

Unfortunately for those who want to purchase the limited-edition opening ceremony parka, those jackets are sold out. However, you can add your name to the waiting list by calling the company’s Prince Street Store at (212) 625-1660.
