Quavorious Marshall — or as we all know him, Quavo — posted a throwback of him in high school on the football team on Thursday.
Here’s Quavo’s high school football picture
“50, 40, there he go ... 30, down sideline, UH! 20, there he go! Touchdown, touchdown! Go! Go! Go!”

Look at Quavo, in all his then-short dreads glory, before he came up and gave us endless hits:
Quavo and the rest of Migos are from the NAWF, better known as NAWF Atlanta, where Gwinnett County is. If you’re not from around here (shoot, even if you are,) it’s kinda out there. But if you’re within an hour of downtown Atlanta, you probably claim it as your hometown.
He played at Berkmar High School in Gwinnett, going from backup to starter. It went 1-9 during the 2009 season, but he did set the record for most completions in a game for that season with 28. Bleacher Report’s Natalie Weiner wrote a story on Quavo’s high school football days, where his former coach John Thompson said their poor record that season wasn’t on the current King of Hip Hop Hooks.
He’s still got it, too:
He, Takeoff, and Offset started working on their music back then and would eventually become the international superstars that they are today.
A personal favorite Migos song of mine is a reference to sports — “Emmitt Smith.” I could write thousands of more words about the group, but we won’t do that here.
Instead, enjoy young Quavo.
