Orlando Brown’s NFL Combine is quantifiably the worst in at least the last 2 decades

Brown was considered a top offensive line prospect. That could be changing quickly.

Former Oklahoma Sooners offensive tackle Orlando Brown has had a bad couple of days at the NFL Combine. No — like really bad.

He’s been considered one of the best offensive line prospects in this year’s draft — SB Nation’s Dan Kadar had Brown going No. 12 overall in his latest mock draft. On Thursday, Brown put up just 14 reps on the bench press. He blamed it on his breathing plan.

“That’s the lowest I have ever done,” he said via Bleacher Report’s Mike Tanier, “And I’ll redo it at my pro day. Keeping it real, it will be held against me. All my numbers will be held against me. As an offensive tackle, my numbers are going to be compared to other offensive tackles. That’s just the reality of it.”

Friday, he ran an unofficial 5.86 40-yard dash time, leading Mike Mayock to call it a “historically bad time.”

Mayock’s assessment of his time is correct:

By now you could imagine that his broad jump wasn’t good — which is correct:

Coaches also didn’t appreciate his effort in the movement drills:

Kadar mentioned Brown wasn’t going to wow anybody with his movement drills, but this seems even worse than anybody could have imagined.

It was one of the worst showings in the last 20 years.

A thread by Twitter user @zjwhitman shows just how bad Brown’s Combine was:

It wasn’t ALL bad, though:

Charley Casserly thinks it might not end up hurting him as bad as it might seem:

The son of the late Zeus Brown will have a chance to change minds during Oklahoma’s pro day on March 14.
