Radford punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament on a cold-blooded buzzer beater

The Radford Highlanders are your 2018 Big South Champions and more importantly, going to the big dance this year for the first time since 2009.

A last second buzzer beater from freshmen guard Carlik Jones is what sealed the deal for the Highlanders.

Jones and junior forward Ed Polite Jr. led the Highlanders in scoring.

Radford, the number 2 seed in this year’s Big South tournament, can rest easy on Selection Sunday. In their last tournament appearance they saw an early exit at the hands of a North Carolina team that would go on to win the National Championship.
