Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School football team and family of slain football coach are announcing Dolphins’ Day 3 draft picks
The Dolphins have five picks left as of Saturday morning.

This was the team’s fourth-round selection, Durham Smythe:
The Dolphins have had a strong bond with the school following the Parkland shooting on Feb. 14 that took 17 lives and injured 17 more. Former Dolphins Jason Taylor and Sam Madison showed up to Feis’ funeral. Feis was also a security guard at Stoneman Douglas, and an alum of the school where he played center for the football team.
In March, the Dolphins hosted a free football clinic with the high school’s varsity and junior varsity teams.
During their offseason working program, members of the Dolphins have worn “MSD STRONG” shirts:
The Dolphins have also taken other measures to show their support. According to the Miami Herald:
On Feb. 16 — two days after the shooting — the organization donated $100,000 to the GoFundMe page set up to help the victims and their families. That donation fund now has more than $7 million. The coaching staff also donated $17,500 to Feis’ family.
Saturday will be the latest installation of both MSD and the Dolphins teaming up with each other after such a tragic incident.
