This LeBron James reverse dunk was totally unnecessary and totally great

So much for Marcus Morris, LeBron stopper.

LeBron James doesn’t seem ready to lose his first series to a Eastern Conference opponent since 2010. In Game 3 against the Boston Celtics on Saturday, facing a two games to zero deficit in the Eastern Conference finals, James brought his team out to a quick start and took a 20-point lead into halftime.

The exclamation point on that whole half was this James dunk, which was both totally unnecessary but also completely necessary. Thank you, James. Thank you.

That’s a legitimate rock-the-cradle reverse dunk right there, with James basically swinging it out in a windmill motion before hammering it down behind his head. These are the moments where we get mad that James never appeared in a dunk contest, because if he can do this in a high stakes playoff game, imagine what he could do in that setting a decade ago when his legs were even fresher.

One more look:

James: he’s good at this, folks.
