Full 64-team field will be revealed Monday

There are 31 conference champs that receive automatic bids, headlined by Pac-12 champ Stanford, SEC champ Ole Miss, and ACC tournament winner Florida State, among others.
Defending champion Florida was ranked No. 1 this season heading into the weekend but were eliminated by LSU in the SEC tournament. Florida will still host a regional in Gainesville beginning on Friday, with the 16 regional hosts announced on Monday night.
That leaves 33 at-large bids filling the rest of the 64-team field. That field will be split into 16 regional groups of four teams each, to be whittled down to one each through double elimination.
The final 16 teams will square off in the best-of three super regional round, with the eight winners advancing to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska from June 16-28.
Among the many talented players to watch in this tournament include Florida right-hander Brady Singer, 10-1 with a 2.25 ERA this season for the Gators; Auburn right-hander Casey Mize, with a 3.07 ERA and 140 strikeouts in 102⅔ innings; and Oregon State infielder Nick Madrigal, hitting .409/.483/.573 for the Beavers. Those three were rated in the top four players in Baseball America’s 2018 MLB Draft rankings.
