If you’re up 3-0 against your opponent in a playoff series, you have some room to gloat about how good you and your team are. Some internalize it to keep that momentum going. But if you’re Marcus Morris, you show off to defenders.
While Morris and Joel Embiid were exchanging words late in the third quarter, he decided to stop talking for a second to remind The Process that the series is currently three to nothing. And he did it just by holding three fingers. Actions speak louder than words sometimes and this is a textbook example.
Embiid can’t say much after that because, well, it’s true. Touché, Marcus.
The Sixers won Game 4 and avoided elimination, so at least Morris can’t gloat like that anymore. He could always go with the 3-1 though!
