Ronda Rousey is the WWE Raw Women’s Champion, winning the belt in a match against Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam on Sunday.
Ronda Rousey wins Raw women’s title over Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam
Rousey was literally never in danger.

The match started with Bliss running away from Rousey, backing into the ropes to get protection from the referee. While engaged with the referee, Bliss tried a cheap shot, but Rousey caught the punch and sent her out of the ring. Bliss then looked like she planned to walk away, so Rousey put herself in a compromising situation to lure Bliss back in.
It worked. Bliss came in, put Rousey in a headlock, and was quickly regretting her decisions before getting dumped on her head and pushed back out of the ring. Bliss got back in, and the beating continued, with Rousey literally dragging her around the ring before locking in her signature armbar submission for the victory.
Rousey’s first proper singles match was against Nia Jax at Money in the Bank, which she won, but by disqualification due to the interference of Bliss. Rousey was then suspended for 30 days, returning at Extreme Rules, where she attacked Bliss.
What followed was another suspension, but she was promised a title shot against Bliss at SummerSlam if she honored the suspension. She did, returning to action on Aug. 6 in a win over Alicia Fox.
Rousey’s in-ring performances to date have received very positive reactions from fans, making her showdown with Bliss one of the most anticipated of Sunday.
