It’s free to attend the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. But getting into the Little League Classic, a Major League Baseball game set at Bowman Field, required either being a part of the Little League World Series, or winning a sweepstakes for any leftover tickets not snatched up by players, coaches, and their families.

So it’s a pain for local fans to get in. Unless you’ve got some scaffolding:
A handful of fans in Pennsylvania created their own bleachers Sunday to watch a game between the Phillies and Mets unfold. First came the frame, a multi-tiered scaffold that stretched up about 20 feet and over the wall in left-center field. Then came the landscaping, as the dedicated fans trimmed back some nearby trees to provide an unobstructed view (and provide maximum sunlight to sleeveless upper arms).
Once the observation deck was set, up came the beach chairs and coolers. It’s unclear just what was hidden behind the foam koozies that kept drinks cold and hands warm, but judging by the effort that went into the construction of those bleachers, I’m going to assume it’s available to purchase in denominations of 30.
The Mets beat the Phillies last night, 8-2. That means the fans beyond the outfield wall can say they not only witnessed a rare New York win, but also paid the exact correct amount a 2018 Mets game should cost in the process.
