Cleveland Browns running back Carlos Hyde got into the end zone twice Thursday night, helping the team end its 635-day winless streak.

But he had other things on his mind than just the New York Jets.

Hyde welcomed a son, Carlos Jr., soon after the Browns’ 21-17 win:

Although the baby came the next morning, there was a good chance Hyde could have become a father while he was on the field Thursday night:

Fortunately for Hyde, his wife’s labor lasted until after the final whistle.

Wait, Hyde pushed the Browns to their first win 2016 WHILE HIS WIFE WAS IN LABOR?

While the hope was that Hyde could get to the stadium after the birth of his son, he ended up making the journey to FirstEnergy Stadium before the birth.

It’s a good thing he did; Hyde’s 98 yards rushing and two touchdowns were pivotal to their 21-17 win. After the game, quarterback Baker Mayfield said that the baby still hadn’t been born and Hyde was rushing to the hospital.

Hyde has been waiting for the moment for a while now:

Hyde even worked his baby’s upcoming arrival into one of his touchdown celebrations:

The former 49ers running back is an Ohio native, who attended Ohio State, and joined the Browns this offseason on a three-year, $15 million deal.

On top of the exciting day for his family, Thursday was also Hyde’s birthday. He and his son nearly shared the special date, but they’re still close enough to have joint birthday parties if they want to get a 2-for-1 at the bowling alley. Either way, the night was a memorable one for the Hyde family. And a very long one for both mom and dad.
