Tyrese Haliburton has been one of the feel-good stories of the NBA season with as he makes a superstar leap for the Indiana Pacers. On Monday night against the Boston Celtics, Haliburton slipped when driving to the basket, watched his legs split, and had to be carried off the floor in pain.

Haliburton has suffered a Grade 1 left hamstring strain, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. He’ll be re-evaluated in two weeks. Watch the play here:

Haliburton was carried off the floor by two teammates with a towel over his head.

Haliburton slipped multiple times during the first half. Pacers beat writer Scott Agness suggested the star guard was different shoes against the Celtics.

The 23-year-old Haliburton has been perhaps the best offensive player in the NBA this year. He’s leading the league is assists per game (12.7) by a wide margin, he’s scoring 24.2 points per game, and he’s become deadly with his three-point shot (40.4 percent on 8.6 attempts per game), especially off the dribble. With Haliburton at the controls, the Pacers have the No. 1 offense in the NBA and are currently posting the highest offensive efficiency rating in league history by scoring 122.4 points per 100 possessions.

The Pacers said Haliburton suffered a left hamstring strain.

Hopefully Haliburton’s injury isn’t as bad as it looked. We’ll update this story as it develops.
