Fresh off their stunning upset of Pakistan in the T20 Cricket World Cup, the United States cricket team takes on India Wednesday in their third match of group play. India is coming off their own victory over Pakistan on Sunday, which means both teams enter today’s match with four points from group play.
That means the winner of today’s match will be in the driver’s seat when it comes to advancing out of Group A, and reaching the Super 8, “knockout,” stage.
Here is how you can watch, the squads, and more information about today’s match.

Want to tune in to today’s pivotal match between the United States and India?
You might have to be willing to pay a little bit.
The match can be streamed exclusively on WillowTV, which is also available via streaming services like Fubo and Sling. A monthly subscription to Willow, dedicated to covering live cricket matches, costs $9.99.
However, in an effort to capitalize on the excitement surrounding the US team, Willow has worked out a deal with several of its provider partners to offer a free TV viewing of the U.S.-India match. According to FrontOfficeSports, subscribers of Fubo TV, DirecTV, and Optimum will be able to watch the game without buying a subscription. That will boost Willow’s reach to 15 million households for Wednesday’s match.
The match is being held at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium on Long Island. So if you are in the area you could hurry and try to see the match live. Tickets are available on the official T20 World Cup site, as well as third-party websites such as StubHub. Currently seats on StubHub are around $300 each.

Aaron Jones, the US vice captain, was massive for the team in their stunning upset of Pakistan. In the “super over” he posted a score of 19 runs, propelling the US to victory. In the entire match Jones scored 36 runs off 25 balls — including two fours and sixes — including a stunning four on the final ball to send the match to the super over. (For reference a “four” is a ball hit to the boundary while a “six” is a ball hit over the boundary. Thus a six is roughly equivalent to a home run in baseball).
As for India, Rohit Sharma is simply put one of the best batsmen of his generation. He holds multiple international cricket records — including the most sixes, as his ability to hit sixes is a strength of his — and is the most successful captain in Indian Premier League history, having led his club team (Mumbai Indians) to five IPL titles. He was also a part of the Indian team that won the inaugural T20 World Cup back in 2007.
