The Philadelphia Eagles face the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football to close out Week 2, and they face some questions at the wide receiver position. Rookie Johnny Wilson was a late scratch in practice on Saturday and is questionable. More importantly, A.J. Brown is dealing with hamstring tightness and is also questionable.

Brown practiced in full on Thursday, but then was limited on Friday after injuring his hamstring. He sat out Saturday’s practice. On Sunday morning, Adam Schefter reported that, “It sounds as if there is a legitimate question whether he will play.”

Update: Early Sunday afternoon, Schefter provided an update indicating Brown has been ruled out for Monday Night Football:

What A.J. Brown injury means for fantasy football

Brown is not playing until Monday, so you’re left rolling the dice if you don’t have other options between the Eagles and Falcons. DeVonta Smith is rostered in most leagues and it’s unlikely you drafted both Brown and Smith. With Wilson also questionable, Jahan Dotson is the most likely beneficiary of playing time.

On the Falcons side of things, Drake London is rostered in most leagues and there’s a good chance you’re playing him even if Brown were able to go. Darnell Mooney is rostered in a little over half of leagues, so he could be a waiver pick-up. Ray-Ray McCloud is barely rostered and would be an option if you’re desperate on Monday.

The other option is if you have a running back or tight end between the two teams. You could flex Brown and make a decision at that spot on Monday. There aren’t many waiver options in that case, with Eagles running back Kenneth Gainwell and Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier offering very modest value.

Your best bet if you don’t have any other decent Monday options is to sit Brown and find someone on Sunday to play in his place.
