New Unrivaled partnership prioritizes both the player and fan experience

Samsung is the latest major company to join forces with the new professional women’s 3-on-3 basketball league.

Unrivaled — the new professional women’s 3-on-3 basketball league launching next week — has added another impressive partner to its collection.

Samsung, one of the world’s largest technology companies, will serve as its official technology and presenting partner — which means that Unrivaled will use all Samsung technology to power the league. That will equip its 36 players with new technology — and bring more than 600 hours of social content for fans, including pregame, postgame, and in-game content.

Unrivaled players will wear Samsung’s Galaxy Ring and Galaxy Watch to track their training performances. That’s part of the league’s promise to provide cutting-edge technology and facilities. League co-founders Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart will also become Samsung Ambassadors.

“Samsung is a brand that opens people up to new and different experiences – breaking barriers, redefining what’s possible through our technology and celebrating differentiated human stories and points of view,” said Olga Suvorova, a vice president at Samsung’s marketing department. “That same spirit lies at the heart of Unrivaled and its groundbreaking mission to literally change the game for its players and fans.”

Samsung is Unrivaled’s 10th announced partner, joining Ally Financial (official banking and founding partner); TNT Sports (exclusive media rights partner); VistaPrint (official print and design partner); State Farm (official home and auto insurance sponsor); Ticketmaster (official ticketing partner); Wilson (official game ball manufacturer); Under Armour (official uniform partner and performance outfitter); Miller Lite (official beer partner); Mediapro North America (official production and hosting partner); and Sephora (official beauty partner).

“We’re grateful for Samsung’s incredible support and deep understanding of Unrivaled’s mission to deliver the best possible experience for players and fans,” said Alex Bazzell, Unrivaled President. “Samsung is elevating Unrivaled and empowering players in the way we both believe they deserve, and their partnership speaks volumes to the innovative vision for women’s basketball we’re creating together.”

Unrivaled tips off next Friday, Jan. 17th in Miami, and will feature 36 WNBA stars from across the league — a list that includes high-profile players like Sabrina Ionescu, Angel Reese, Breanna Stewart, Napheesa Collier, Brittney Griner, and dozens of others.

TNT Sports and Unrivaled reached a multi-year media rights partnership to exclusively present live game coverage on TNT and truTV – with all games also being streamed on Max.
