Farah AlYousef has been announced as the F1 Academy Wild Card entry for the second weekend of the 2025 season, and will drive in her home race for Hitech TGR at this weekend’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

The 22-year-old driver won the Saudi Arabian Women’s Karting Championship back in 2022, and secured 26th place at the Karting World Finals. She is also scheduled to represent her nation at the FW Nations Cup Finals in Dubai this May.

Recently, AlYousef has raced in the F4 Middle East Championship, with her best result a P19 at the first race in Qatar. She also participated in F1 Academy testing at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit at the beginning of the month, to prepare for her entry with Hitech at the second round of the F1 Academy season.

AlYousef hopes her entry serves as an inspiration to young girls in her home country.

“Racing as a Wild Card entry in the F1 Academy on home soil here in Jeddah is truly a dream come true,” AlYousef said in the announcement. “Motorsport has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and to line up alongside some of the most talented young drivers in the world at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit is an incredibly proud moment.

“I hope my participation inspires young girls across Saudi Arabia to believe in themselves and chase their dreams. The journey hasn’t always been easy, but moments like this remind me why I love racing. I’m ready to give it my all and represent my country with pride.”
