Justin Thomas has an insane amount of PGA Tour course records

Justin Thomas has etched his name atop a number of courses across the PGA Tour.

Justin Thomas got off to an incredible start this week at the RBC Heritage as he fired a 10-under 61, tied for the course record at Harbour Town, to take the opening round lead. While he also held the lead following Friday’s action, Si Woo Kim jumped him on Saturday to head into Sunday as the outright leader. For what it’s worth Thomas trails Kim (-15) by a stroke.

Thomas can still become the first player on the PGA Tour to win this season after leading the opening round, but as noted he has some work cut out for him. That is a strange thing to be true given that he was 10-under after 18 holes.

As noted, Thomas’ 61 was tied for the course record in Hilton Head and a day after he shot it the world found out that he actually holds at least a piece of 9 total course records. Think about that!

As you can see Thomas’ 61 at Harbour Town is listed as is the 62 that he had at TPC Sawgrass early on in The Players this season. Erin Hills and Winged Foot are also both listed... these are not casual courses that JT has his name hanging on the wall inside the clubhouse of.

This is an incredible list no matter what but it stands to reason that it will mean more to JT if he is able to walk away as the tournament’s winner on Sunday.
