Sometimes things go chalk.

Jeeno Thitikul opened the Mizuho Americas Open as the tournament’s leader last Thursday and ultimately turned in a score of 17-under par to win the whole thing.

It makred the fifth career victory for Thitikul and in the process she set both the 54-hole (202) and 72-hole (271) scoring records for the Mizuho as she took down Nelly Korda’s marks from last season. Talk about winning in style.

Thitikul has been playing some incredible golf overall as of late so it mad sense that she was going to break through soon enough. While she won the tournament it was her sixth finish inside of the top 10 across her eight starts through 2025. She has 13 overall top-10 finishes across her last 15 starts on the LPGA Tour dating back to August of last year.

Part of what made the tournament so interesting in general was its inclusion of amateurs. Amazingly, Thitikul discussed this during her final round on Sunday!

It isn’t every day you see a tournament leader doing an interview during their final round and staying so calm and collected through it, but clearly Thitikul is a bit different from the rest of us.

What is also different about her is her perspective on life at large. While she did win the tournament she offered a great note afterwards in saying that winning doesn’t define her. Given that she is still only 22 years old, she is quite put together.

Thitikul took home $450,000 for winning the Mizuho and has now eclipsed $1.1M in earnings on the season. She is just south of $11M total career earnings to date.

Congratulatiosn to Jeeno Thitkul on her win.
