We are halfway through the major championship season and so far only Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler have hardware to show for it.

The former will don the iconic green jacket until next April, but the latter already has two of those and added a Wanamaker Trophy to the collection last week. In case you somehow missed it... Scottie Scheffler won the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow in absolute runaway fashion.

Part of the greatness of golf though is that right after one event, even a major championship, the action keeps on rolling on. This week the Tour will play its final event in Texas at Colonial in the Charles Schwab and it will absolutely shock you come as no surprise to learn that Scheffler is the massive favorite.

Here are the top odds in Fort Worth as of Tuesday afternoon, courtesy of our friends at FanDuel:

  • Scottie Scheffler, +250
  • Daniel Berger, +2200
  • Jordan Spieth, +2200
  • Tommy Fleetwood, +2500
  • Hideki Matsuyama, +2800
  • Maverick McNealy, +3300
  • Aaron Rai, +3500
  • Harris English, +4000
  • Si Woo Kim, +4000
  • J.T. Poston, +4500
  • Robert MacIntyre, +4500
  • J.J. Spaun, +4500
  • Davis Thompson, +5500
  • Keith Mitchell, +5500
  • Davis Riley, +5500
  • Michael Kim, +5500

Scheffler became the third player this season to win multiple times with his PGA victory and joined the aforementioned McIlroy along with Sepp Straka in that regard.

It makes all the sense in the world to take Scottie so no one will fault you if you do. If we are asking the golf universe to continue to give us great storylines this season... how about the first career victory for Tommy Fleetwood after he has come so close for so long?

We will see what happens!
