It is one of the best weeks of the year on the PGA Tour as the Memorial Tournament, one of the year’s Signature Events, is officially underway.

Early on Thursday there are plenty of red numbers on the scoreboard and one of them, at least at the time of this writing, belongs to Rickie Fowler. A big reason for that is the 127-yard hole out he had for birdie on the third hole.

Sometimes you are better off lucky than good in golf and while there wasn’t an incredible amount of luck here... the roll certainly worked out for Fowler.

As noted at the time of this writing Fowler is under par and at this specific moment trails only Ben Griffin, Shane Lowry and Xander Schauffele. There is clearly a lot of golf left to be played, but one of the early highlights absolutely belongs to Rickie.

Bring on the golf!
