Adam Thielen is all about as much golf as he can get

Adam Thielen loves competing in the game of golf.

When it comes to the spirit of competition they do not make a lot of people like Adam Thielen.

Thielen’s story, fighting tooth and nail to make it to the NFL before starring with the Minnesota Vikings and now Carolina Panthers, is well known at this point. He is a grinder and someone who will go that extra mile in the name of accomplishing his goal. He has proven that.

This disposition rings true for Thielen beyond the football field. He is an extremely avid golfer and one we can all watch in action next month at the American Century Championship, something he told me about in a chat recently that you can watch below.

Something that stood out to be about Thielen’s approach to golf is that he pretty much cares only about being on a golf course and attacking it. He said, respectfully if this isn’t obvious, that he isn’t much for things like course design. He likes to find his zone and put a club in his hand and get to work.

This is a refreshing perspective if I am being honest. I love how much information we have at our fingertips relative to golf, but it can obviously be a little bit overwhelming at times. There is a certain freedom and liberation to just oging out and doing your thing.

It will be fun to watch Thielen do that at Lake Tahoe in July!
