There is nothing like the Open Championship. Nothing.

Golf is on display in its most pure form and the best players in the world are doing their best to navigate and, in some extreme cases, survive it all. Can you believe we get four days of it?

Part of what makes this tournament so special is its tradition, that much is obvious. Watching history unfold in a place like Northern Ireland though just adds to the epic-ness of it all and this is something that the fine folks at Malbon and Bushmills Irish Whiskey have understood the assignment in relation to.

On Thursday a special collection between the two was announced that specifically celebrates the Open and Northern Ireland. The duo have put together a capsule collection that combines the essence of the North Coast with Malbon’s contemporary designs. Amazingly, this whole thing is taking place near the Bushmills Distillery.

The collection can be found at both Bushmills.com/malbon as well as malbongolf.com and the pieces involved perfectly encapsulate who each are with specific regards to the 153rd Open Championship.

These are just a few of the pieces available in the overall collection and each one of them is absolutely incredible. The traditions of the tournament, Malbon and Bushmills are all covered with grace and they all work well with any round of golf or general activity.

Personally, I’ve always been impressed with how Malbon manages to innovate in the golf space. Their designs are so intricate and always have a way of leaning into the culture of wherever they are while holding true to their own disposition. When asked how their company manages doing that relative to something so sacred in the Open Championship, Stephen Malbon put it well in a conversation with SB Nation.

“Being respectful and leading with excitement and inspiration of golf and doing it with so much passion. I’m designing more to inspire and fulfill my creative needs as a designer.”

It is clear that this mantra exists as the foundation for Malbon’s partnership with Bushmills Irish Whiskey and that it all works in perfect harmony together this week.

Get a piece yourself and enjoy the tournament.
