2025 Open Championship: John Parry aces 13th hole in Saturday round

John Parry had an insane ace on 13 at Royal Portrush on Saturday.

The Open Championship

You better not blink during the Open Championship.

Thrills await with each and every single shot of golf and such was the case early (for those watching on the United States side of things) on Saturday.

John Parry, 1-under at the time, hit his tee shot on the par-3 13th hole and did not need to grab his putter after. Ace!

The 13th at Royal Portrush, Feather Bed, is 199 yards in total and has typically played true to its par. Emiliano Grillo had an opening round ace there when the Open was last held at the venue in 2019 and we can now add John Parry’s name to that list.

It is moments like these that make this specific tournament so incredible. For one moment there is a unified celebration where everyone is acknowledging that they just saw something special and incredible.

Kudos to John Parry for the dunk!
