Will the Wizards have the worst NBA defense ever?

Update Status:
Do you know how bad your defense has to be to have a 6-12 record and -3.6 point differential despite possessing a top-five offense? Really, really bad. The Wizards aren't quite as bad as last year's Cavs yet, but they've also let opponents drop 130 points six times this year and haven't held anyone under 110 in a month. It's only a matter of time.

Update Status:
Through three games, the Washington Wizards' defense is ... actually kinda good? The Wizards ranked 14th in defensive efficiency in the (very) early going, despite beginning their season with three road games against tough Southwest Division opponents. Thomas Bryant's rim protection has improved, Isaac Bonga is kinda a stopper, and the Wizards have even confused opponents with a funky looking zone from time to time.

Update Status:
On the one hand, the Wizards' defensive efficiency will fall somewhere in the middle of the pack in the preseason once it's finished. On the other hand, their two closest things they have to competent wing defenders (Troy Brown, C.J. Miles) are injured, and a third, Justin Anderson, was released. The second point seems more meaningful than the first.
