Man, Kyle Lowry cannot catch a break. The Raptor guard appeared to roll his ankle in the second quarter of the Raptors' game in Brooklyn against the Nets. He came up grimacing, then limped quite rapidly directly off the floor into the locker room, not even waiting for a dead ball to flee. Moments later, the Raptors revealed that Lowry had suffered a sprained left ankle and would not return to the game.
Kyle Lowry: Raptors guard out with sprained ankle vs. Nets
Yet another sprain for Lowry.
We have no word yet on how severe the ankle injury is, but this is more rough news for Lowry. He's already missed substantial portions of the season with a sprain in the other ankle and a partially torn triceps. His minutes have been down since returning and losing his starting spot to Jose Calderon, and now they might be back down to zero for the foreseeable future. With luck, it's nothing too serious, but with Lowry, it often is.
Update: Lowry returned in the fourth quarter.
