Wednesday was Tim McCarver’s 72nd birthday. Happy birthday, Tim McCarver! For his birthday, Fox presented McCarver with a cake during the Red Sox-Tigers Game 4 broadcast. Or, more specifically, a hulking, bearded PA delivered a cake and a few important things happened.

Yeah, we can believe it. A cardboard box is a pretty standard container for a store-bought cake, Mr. McCarver. We can only assume this is an inside joke you have with yourself that you assumed we all understood.
