Marlins Man gives seat to Navy singer after ‘God Bless America’ mishap

Patriotic tributes and Game 3 in San Francisco have not gotten along Friday night. First the flaghole, now this:

Props to Steven Powell from the U.S. Navy for trucking right through the opening lines of “God Bless America” even while no one in America could hear him. And he finished strong after the audio returned a few seconds later.

There’s more: Our good friend Ubiquitous Marlins Fan, who traveled to San Francisco after watching the games in Kansas City, gave his seat up to Petty Officer Powell after the performance:
