Don Bosco High School in Iowa is having a very good eight-man football season following their 2013 state championship. Before last week, they hadn’t won a game by less than 36 points, including scores like 86-20 and 66-0. On October 17, their opponent forfeited to protest a player’s suspension. So, uh, maybe this was the Dons taking out two games’ worth of offense on one opponent?
An Iowa high school football team won 102-6

FINAL: Don Bosco - 102, Tri-County, Thornburg - 6. #iahsfb
— Don Bosco Catholic (@DonBoscoSports) October 25, 2014 Man, the dryness of that tweet. And yeah, that really happened. And that’s only after they slowed their pace:
FYI, that's the first quarter. RT @DonBoscoSports: Don Bosco leads 46-6 after the first. #iahsfb
— Vincent Frank (@VincentFrankNFL) October 25, 2014 102 points is like something out of a basketball game. Actually, it’s more than that:
The season high last bball season for Don Bosco was 75 pts. The football team just beat that by 27 pts. #iahsfb https://t.co/yApqR0kvt3
— Iowa Preps (@iowapreps) October 25, 2014 And yeah, as you’d expect, people are pretty peeved at a high school team running up the score like that:
@terryhinman @Hlas @iowapreps @SportsCenter @espn You kidding me, Don Bosco? Wow what a bunch of heartless coaches. Certainly not Christian.
— Kirk Andersen (@hawkeyekirk) October 25, 2014 “@MaxJFulk: Don Bosco just won 102-6.... 102?!?!” That's just messed up
— AustinFulkᕙ(ツ)ᕗ (@The_A_HOyLE) October 25, 2014 With the running clock there is really no excuse for hanging 100 on someone in HS football. Don Bosco should be embarrassed.
— mitch eslick (@mitch_eslick) October 25, 2014 Don Bosco 102, Tri-County 6. You'd think that could have been avoided. #iahsfb
— Jeff Linder (@jtlinder) October 25, 2014 Don Bosco wins 102-6. That's good sportsmanship right there.....
— Tony A Tjaden (@ManHawkHoops) October 25, 2014 For what it’s worth, the all-time high school football high score appears to be 256 points by Haven, Kansas in 1972.
