Patriots fans sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Ice Bucket Challenge creator Pete Frates

Pete Frates is the former Boston College baseball player who, 2 years after being diagnosed with ALS, co-founded the Ice Bucket Challenge that raised millions of dollars for ALS foundations over the summer. Frates turned 30 Sunday, and celebrated the occasion in style:

Yup, that’s the whole Gillette Stadium crowd singing “Happy Birthday” to Frates, who hung out with Robert Kraft and the Patriots’ Super Bowl trophies before the game:

This comes just a day after hundreds of people raised money with a cold-water plunge in Gloucester, MA on Saturday. Frates’ commitment to funding the fight against ALS continues to draw support.
