The Knicks’ terrible, horrible, no good, very bad Sunday vs. the Bulls

This was just embarrassing.

Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

Everybody knew disaster was coming when the horribly slumping Knicks showed up in Chicago to face the feisty Bulls on national television, but man, this was even rougher than we expected. New York got to floundering promptly with a flurry of turnovers in the game’s opening minutes-- a collapse so swift and full that the Knicks couldn’t come close to recovering.

Sunday Shootaround

New York has been awful in afternoon games this season, so perhaps it was to be expected. But as you can see, we’re talking about passes thrown to nobody, dribbles totally mishandled, and just about every manner of giving the ball away imaginable. The team quickly fell behind by 25 points and never cut it closer than nine. They finished with 12 turnovers to the Bulls’ franchise-record-tying three.

‘Twas truly a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day, though the Knicks don’t really have other kinds of days at this point.
