NBA UConn alumni react to the Huskies’ NCAA Championship win

Some were in the building! Some just made fun of Drake!

The whole NBA had Monday night off for the NCAA Championship, which meant the league’s numerous former Huskies got to watch their old school take home the trophy. Some of those guys were even in the building.

Rip Hamilton took a photo with Drake *before* tip-off (more on Drake below):

Ray Allen was in the building, too:

And fellow PistonHuskies Andre Drummond and Charlie Villanueva got to hang out with the trophy (Villanueva’s already won one of those, of course):

Meanwhile, Kemba Walker was at home tormenting Bobcats teammate and Kentucky alum Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (NCAA champions both):

The Oklahoma City Thunder, who have THREE former Huskies on their roster (Hasheem Thabeet, Caron Butler, and Jeremy Lamb) watched the game together, after which Thabeet joined Rudy Gay in America’s national pasttime: Drake mockery.

Congratulations to Huskies present and former alike. Sorry, Drake.
