In a story straight out of Temecula, Chipper Jones got into a childish Twitter battle with someone who claimed to have been stiffed on an autograph decades ago, then offered to fight him in person! It started with stuff like this:
Chipper Jones challenged a Twitter heckler to fight him in person

@RealCJ10 still considered a piece of shit in my book! You were my favorite player until you ruined it by not signing a ball when I was 8
— Captain America (@thatgrayboy) May 28, 2015 @GoGatorsUSA @RealCJ10 I've never once had him sign a ball. Mark lempke, Jeff blauser David justice all did. Except for chip. POS
— Captain America (@thatgrayboy) May 28, 2015 Which Chipper didn’t exactly appreciate ...
Love smack talkers! Meet today's class clown.....@thatgrayboy! All cuz I signed for 100s of peeps and he was #101. Bitter after 20 yrs!
— Chipper Jones (@RealCJ10) May 28, 2015 @thatgrayboy Just cuz u got the nerve to be a #keyboardclown when u all grown up, don't make u a man! I signed plenty. Can't please everyone
— Chipper Jones (@RealCJ10) May 28, 2015 Then it got to an argument about the guy’s military service and the guy saying stuff about the mother of Jones’ children ...
@RealCJ10 chip chatter doesn't bother me. Your baby mama is typing this one. On my phone.
— Captain America (@thatgrayboy) May 28, 2015 @RealCJ10 actually they are proud. 3 deployments proud.
— Captain America (@thatgrayboy) May 28, 2015 ... and also Chipper talking to a totally different account:
@SportsGuru24 @thegreyboy totally agree. Much respect for what vets have done for everyone. But I have no proof he is what he says.
— Chipper Jones (@RealCJ10) May 28, 2015 @SportsGuru24 @thegreyboy not when u start things by disrespecting me and my lady. I WILL stand up for myself and my family
— Chipper Jones (@RealCJ10) May 28, 2015 Different gray/grey boy.
And then back to the original gray boy for ... TEMECULA in the DMs!
@bjwood102003 @Sweetga_girl read the last one pic.twitter.com/ZBcG1O4t2f
— Captain America (@thatgrayboy) May 28, 2015 As far as I can tell, no actual in-person encounter happened, which is relatively good. But for the record, resident SB Nation Georgian Jason Kirk suggests they stage this fight in Columbus.
