Harriette Thompson, 92, is the oldest woman to ever run a marathon after finishing the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon this weekend in San Diego in 7:24:36.

Thompson lost her husband earlier this year, and was still recovering from skin cancer treatments during the marathon. But she was determined to race like she has yearly for over a decade, raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Thompson, who runs with her son Brenny, has become something of a celebrity in San Diego, and hung out with Meb Keflezighi before Sunday’s race:

That’s San Diego marathon royalty.
