Harriette Thompson, 92, is the oldest woman to ever run a marathon after finishing the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon this weekend in San Diego in 7:24:36.

— Chris Chavez (@Chris_J_Chavez) May 31, 2015 Thompson lost her husband earlier this year, and was still recovering from skin cancer treatments during the marathon. But she was determined to race like she has yearly for over a decade, raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Thompson, who runs with her son Brenny, has become something of a celebrity in San Diego, and hung out with Meb Keflezighi before Sunday’s race:
