Mitchell Northam is a Senior Writer for SB Nation, covering women’s college sports at Breakaway. He grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and is now based in North Carolina’s Triangle, smack-dab in the heart of college basketball country on Tobacco Road. He’s been an AP Top 25 voter for women’s college basketball for a few years and serves on the USBWA’s women’s basketball board. He is a graduate of Salisbury University and his past work has been featured at USA Today, NPR, NCAA.com, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Associated Press, The Next, and the Baltimore Banner.
