Originally from Billings, Montana, Patrick Sauer is a freelance writer/stay-at- home-dad in Brooklyn. He’s written for ESPN, The Classical, Deadspin, Airship Daily, Narratively, Biographile, Fast Company, Mr. Beller’s Neighborhood, and many other lesser outlets. He’s the author of “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to the American Presidents,” and has essays featured in “Lost and Found: Stories From New York,” Smith Magazine’s “The Moment,” and “The Who, the What, and the When,” coming from Chronicle in 2014.
