Rachel Toor

Rachel Toor is a senior writer for Running Times, a columnist for The Chronicle of Higher Education, and the author of three books of nonfiction. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The LA Times, Runner’s World, Glamour, Reader’s Digest, Ploughshares, and The Journal of the American Medical Association among other places. Her first novel, “On the Road to Find Out,” about a teenage girl who decides to start running after a being rejected from her first choice college has just been published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux. She teaches at Eastern Washington University in Spokane.
