The German Football Association (DFB) has announced a fine in the amount of €6,000 for Borussia Dortmund manager Jürgen Klopp due to unsportsmanlike conduct against a match official.

The Borussia Dortmund manager was fined for his outburst at the fourth official during the match with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Toward the end of BVB’s 3-3 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt, Klopp screamed at fourth official Guido Kleve over a decision on the pitch. He was sent to the stands for the remainder of the contest. Klopp has accepted the punishment.
When speaking with the media last week, Klopp was his usual jovial self. Attempting to explain away his face full of rage at the official he said, “how I look when I’m playing tennis or when we score a goal. But when you have to excuse yourself for a face, then I hereby do that.”
Over his career, Klopp has accrued over €39,500 in fines. The last time was in November 2010 in a match against Hamburg. He was fined €10,000 at that time.
