Hoffenheim’s Sejad Salihovic has been suspended for four matches following his red card on Saturday. The DFB announced the decision on Monday.

The Hoffenheim midfielder has been suspended following his second red card of the season.

Salihovic, 27, was sent off in the 88th minute against Augsburg for a bad foul on Tobias Werner. The Bosnian midfielder went over the top of the ball on a tackle with his studs showing right into the ankle of Werner, who is lucky that he came out of the tackle without an injury.
This is the second red card on the season for Salihovic with the first one coming twenty eight days ago. He hasn’t started a match yet under Markus Babbel and has played less than 80 minutes in five matches for Hoffenheim this season. He was sent off Saturday after only 25 minutes. He was giving his marching orders in less than five minutes against Eintracht Frankfurt at the beginning of September.
Salihovic will not be available for selection by Babbel until Matchday 11 when Hoffenheim travel to Fortuna Düsseldorf on November 10.
