Holger Badstuber was substituted at halftime of Bayern Munich’s match Sunday with Bayer Leverkusen for what appeared to be tactical reasons. However, after the match it was revealed that Badstuber had suffered an injury in the first half of the match.
Holger Badstuber injury: Bayern Munich defender injures leg against Bayer Leverkusen
Holger Badstuber has reportedly torn his hamstring in Bayern Munich’s match today against Bayer Leverkusen.

It is being reported by Kicker that the German international has suffered a torn hamstring and will be out for some time while he recovers. While the club has acknowledged the injury on their website, they don’t go into much detail at this time.
Bayern can absorb the loss of Badstuber for a while with the return of David Alaba to the side since recovering from his foot injury. With Jerome Boateng and Dante starting at centerback, Badstuber has been playing at left back this season. The change will be a simple one with Alaba sliding into left back. Diego Contento has also returned from his injury, so he will serve as Alaba’s backup.
